Experiments for Feasibility Study of Tropospheric Scatter Propogation between the Earth and Satellites

William J. Hartman; Martin T. Decker

Abstract: The proposed experiments described in this report are designed to obtain information concerning the feasibility of tropospheric scatter transmission between an earth terminal and a satellite. These experiments are suggested in lieu of experiments utilizing orbiting vehicles primarily because of the problem of obtaining adequate power aboard satellites.

Keywords: propagation; satellite; air-to-ground propagation; troposphere
