2014 VQiPS Workshop Announced

PSCR Announces Fifth Video Quality in Public Safety Workshop April 30 - May 1, 2014

Through the Video Quality in Public Safety (VQiPS) project, public safety practitioners, Federal partners, manufacturers, and representatives from academia and standards making bodies are working to improve the way in which video technologies serve the public safety community. A multi-stakeholder partnership that includes ITS engineers assigned to the Public Safety Communications Research program, VQiPS gathers input from practitioners and video experts and delivers unbiased guidance and educational resources that assist the first responder community in clearly defining and communicating their video quality needs.

The VQiPS Workshop, to be held April 30 - May 1, 2014 in Houston, TX, is a collaborative working session for public safety practitioners, the private sector, and the global research community to coordinate efforts in establishing quality requirements for video use in public safety. This workshop is hosted by the Department of Homeland Security, a sponsor of the PSCR program.
