Abstract: A description is given of the facilities provided by the National Bureau of Standards on Cheyenne Mountain in Colorado and in its vicinity which are used for the measurement of the transmission loss on radio transmission circuits operated in the frequency range from 92 to 1046 Mc. Some preliminary results of these measurements are presented together with tentative theoretical explanations.
