Abstract: This document is a technical dictionary containing approximately 300 terms, concisely defined for the communication engineer, covering the field of optical fiber waveguide communications.
It was superseded by NBS Handbook 140 of the same title issued in 1982, which was in turn superseded by FED-STD-1037A, which became the ATIS Telecom Glossary.
