Abstract: On March 2, 3, and 4, 1976, the Institute for Telecommunication Sciences of the Office of Telecommunications, U. S. Department of Commerce, sponsored a conference on "The Use of Millimeter Waves for Communications." The purpose of the meeting was to encourage an exchange of views on the use of the radio spectrum above 10 GHz for communications. Forty persons attended, representing the areas of manufacturing, systems applications, frequency management, standards, and propagation research.
