Abstract: The difficulty of finding and getting rights to use the high quality video sequences needed for video quality research has hampered research in this area for many years. This article describes the Consumer Digital Video Library (CDVL) website (www.cdvl.org), which attempts to address this obstacle by making high-quality, uncompressed video clips available for use by the education, research, and product development communities.
