Planning for Telecommunication System Development in Alaska: Volume 1 (Text) and 2 (Appendices)

Abstract: This report documents the initial phase of work done on a study of telecommunications in Alaska in response to the impending sale of the federally owned Alaska Communication System to a commercial operator, RCA Alaska Communications, Inc. The study is a joint Federal and State effort that provides both direct and immediate short-term assistance on currently critical matters and recommendations for long-term policy and practice.

The report is in two volumes, Text (Volume 1) and Appendices (Volume 2).
