Abstract: An algorithm is presented which permits calculation of the transmitter power required to achieve a given value of circuit reliability or service probability and time availability on high-frequency ionospheric telecommunication systems. The accuracy of the algorithm is demonstrated by direct calculations and by comparison of the results of the power prediction method with predictions prepared with the present prediction program. Various formats available for the display of the results are presented.
