Abstract: The potential interference between systems in the 1535-1660 MHz bands was investigated. This investigation shows that all intersystem interactions could be placed in Serious, Manageable or No Problem categories. The single serious problem results from the interaction between the L-band aircraft radar altimeters and the aircraft Collision Avoidance Systems. The problem is serious because no tractable solutions are easily implemented. All other intersystem interactions in the band are considered manageable or fall into the no problem category.
