A Telecommunications Infrastructure Study: A Report for the Kingdom of Thailand, National Economic and Social Development Board

Abstract:

This report is an assessment of the telecommunications infrastructure in the Kingdom of Thailand. It stresses the importance of telecommunication development to national growth, identifies impediments to growth, and makes recommendation for their removal. Topics covered include the role of its private sector, regulation, pricing strategies, planning, training and human resource development, and the introduction of new technology. Conclusions focus on major organizational change and privatization. This project was carried out by an NTIA-led team from October 1990 through April 1991.
