David Middleton, “Signal Reception in a Multi-Link Interference Environment,” Technical Memorandum OT TM-100, U.S. Department of Commerce, Office of Telecommunications, Institute for Telecommunication Sciences, December 1971.
Abstract:
The general problem is formulated to determine the optimum receiver structure and performance of a single-link operating in an electromagnetic environment of man-made interference consisting of J (≥ 1) other communication links, at or near the same frequency regions of the desired link. The formulation includes the propagation model , the governing geometry, and details of coupling to the medium, as well as specific non-gaussian statistical mechanisms for the interference.
