Calculation of Power Flux-Density Levels in the 2 GHz Band, Phase Three

Andrew Farrar

Abstract: The analysis technique developed and discussed in two earlier NTIA reports [Farrar, 1984; Farrar, 1983] was used in conjunction with the data obtained from a number of different countries to calculate the power flux-density (pfd) levels in the 2 GHz band. The data included the characteristics of satellites in the space services and fixed service systems in the band. Sharing criteria with other services, such as mobile, are not addressed.

Keywords: pfd computer models; power-flux-density limits; satellite services in 2 GHz; sharing criteria near 2 GHz
